The sorry state of great apes in the wild is discussed. Root causes are considered:
IAN REDMOND: It's that world market for computers and PlayStations and that sort of thing which has led to, we fear, something like 70 per cent or 80 per cent of the eastern lowland gorilla population gone.
If only we'd be content to just squat in the mud, like our environmentally-friendly noble ancestors, why then, everything would be right as rain!
